Come with us to Morocco!

Just because you're not Gen Z, doesn't mean it's too late to explore the world.
As my mum has proven, you're not too old to travel,
and now you can do it with peole your age!
Since I started travelling with my mum, I've realised that, whilst she prefers not to carry a 60L backpack, and not to move to a different city everyday, she's still got the energy and sense of adventure to explore.
So I'm hosting our first trip for travellers in their of the age 50s and 60s! Whilst I don't actually fit into this age group, I've travelled with my mum enough times to understand what is needed for an enjoyable trip, and my experience as a Travel Coordinator means I have the experience to ensure that the logistics are in place for everyone to have the best time!
I've decided to choose Morocco as the first departure because, whilst it's a wonderful country, the culture shock may be too intimidating for some travellers. However, having travelled there as a solo female traveller, I can assure you that it's safe and travelling in numbers means you'll feel comfortable and relaxed!
Here's an overview of what your week in Morocco will be like!
Day 1: Welcome to Morocco!
Everyone can arrive when they like but it would be preferable to have everyone for dinner on the first night so we can get to know each other.
Day 2: Marrakesh

Today we explore the hustle and bustle of Moroccan life in the heart of the souqs. Immerse yourself in the sounds, smells and atmosphere of the markets and discover the places where locals come to shop. An expert tour guide will lead us around so that we don't get lost!
After lunch, there's time for shopping, picking up a souvenir (or five!), exploring the souqs in our own time, or the option to head back into the accommodation for some rest before enjoying dinner together.
Day 3: Jardin Majorelle

Outside of the chaotic medina, we'll find a tranquil escape in the famous Jardin Majorelle, a beautiful botanical garden created by French Orientalist artist Jacques Majorelle in 1923.
After lunch we'll head off to the desert where we'll be sleeping under the stars for the night!
We'll have the option to enjoy a camel ride as the sun sets or relax by the pool!
Day 4: Moroccan Desert

We have a whole day to enjoy relaxing in the desert, disconnected from the world. Have a dip in the pool, read a book on the sun lounger or discover the sand dunes on a quad bike!
You choose how you want to spend the day!
Day 5: Essaouira

After breakfast, and check out, we'll head to the coastal town of Essaouira, a bustling port city that still features 18th century walls, and offers excellent seafood!
Here we'll deposit our luggage at the accommodation before heading out to explore the famous colourful medina. Stalls are aplenty, and we'll spend the late afternoon learning how to make a traditional tagine in a special private cooking class.
Day 6: Relax in Marrakesh

There will be a last minute opportunity to walk around the medina of Essaouira, or relax on the beach before we head back to Marrakech.
Once in Marrakech, there will be the opportunity to experience a Moroccan massage and a traditional hamman (a full intimate body scrub) if you're brave enough! It'll be the perfect way to unwind after the journey.
Day 7: Time to Say Goodbye
Today we check out and say our farewells,
but hopefully it won't be the last time we see each other!

About the Travel Coordinator
I'm Amy and I've been a solo traveller for over 10 years. I'm also a registered independent travel agent, creating tailor made holidays, as well as selling ready-made packaged holidays.
I've been on lots of holidays with my family but it's only recently that I've actually been on adventures with my mum. From 3 day motorbike loops, to road trips in Kenya, from sleeping on nightbuses to walking 25,000 steps in New York City, she's proven that it's never too late to go on an adventure!
